Narrow Bay Holiday Swans

Another beautiful dawn down here at the beach. Cold and clear, a pair of swans were not spooked in the least and allowed me to photograph them close to shore. So idyllic, graceful and serene. I love the way the ice on the shoreline looks so surreal with those colors...super cool.

Vermont Black Cat Safari III

Lately it seems that I'm taking more pics of landscapes and the cats than anything else. Go figure. Let's hope that the tide changes soon and I'm back to doing more paying gigs in the new year. Here is Nico jumping the shark, so to speak, up in Vermont a couple of weeks ago. Just before the snows started falling.

Mastic Beach Dawn

These shots are from last weekend out at the beach with Orlando. So beautiful, has to be my favorite time of the day. Never fails to disappoint. The posts in the water are supports for a swimming net that goes up in the summer.

Two Way Lens Blog Post

I was honored to be asked to participate in Michael Werner's project, Two Way Lens, in which he poses questions to photographers that he finds inspiring. Needless to say I am in some very good company. Here is what he says about the project...

Two Way Lens is a project designed to inform and inspire emerging photographers wanting to focus their creative output in a way that enhances their chances of finding an audience, being included in exhibitions and ultimately achieving gallery representation. The journey from inspired artist to successful artist is one that is often difficult to negotiate and hard to control. On these pages, I will feature the experiences and opinions of other photographers who I have found inspiring, and hopefully the knowledge they have built in their own experiences will be valuable to all of us finding our own way to sharing our creativity with the wider world.

Georgia State Law Magazine & Bobby Lee Cook

Just received copies of Georgia State's Law Magazine which has one of my photos on the cover of Bobby Lee Cook, aka the inspiration for "Matlock". Don't you just love his suit! He was such a great guy, interesting and full of charm. Took me and my assistant out for lunch afterwords to a local place on Main Street, where everyone seemed to know him. He is a star in that town.

Revisiting Georgia Tech

When I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to find myself in midtown with a couple of hours to kill. It had been 20 years since I had been on the campus, so I took advantage of the situation and went for a walk. AMAZING to see such memories. The campus looked great, more the same than I had expected considering the Olympics. And I was lucky enough for there to be a football game going on at the time, which made for a surreal experience, crowd cheering and all. Here are a few images from that walk.

Nutopia Show

Here is the invite to the show that I am a part of up in Woodstock. It is up though December 20th. The show was curated by Platon, who is also responsible for creating the group. If you don't know of his work, definitely visit his site platonphoto.com. A master portrait photographer and one hell of a guy. Big thanks to him for not only including me, but also for making it all happen.

Philly Stpover

Another stop on the journey was Philly to photograph a couple for the project. They lived in the heart of the historic area and I took a little stroll after the shoot. I was really impressed with the city and liked it much more than I thought I would. Like a large Greenwich Village without all the glam. A few shots from the walk...

Deep in Southern Alabama

I went on another journey, this time to New Orleans and back, photographing more amazing men for the project. Here are some images from Highway 43, a little north of Mobile. I love getting off the interstate and exploring. These shots are so eerily moody...I think give u a great feel for the area.
